The Gold Coast Malibu Club are proudly presenting the 30th “MALFUNCTION” held in its spiritual home the Coollangatta area.

Contest Dates: May 3rd, 4th and 5th.
Contest Venue: Mobile between Rainbow Bay to Kirra (dependant on conditions)
Format: Round Robin – all competitors will surf 3 times
Judging: Head Judge on site but competitors will judge one head, miss one heat and then surf.

The Gold Coast Super 8′s Malibu Club is having a “Have a go day” during the Malfunction, where people from the general public can try the great sport of Longboarding, boards will be supplied.

Open Log/Old Mal (Competitors in Log/Old mal must ride boards that comply with OLD MAL AUSTRALIA criteria, Single fin, no provisions for other fins, 50/50 or 60/40 rails, minimum weight 6kgs)
